Free Money or Viral Marketing?

Checking out my RSS feeds today and noticed a post about free money from Michael Badger.  Aparently all you need to do is sign up for their newsletter and you’ll receive a portion of their profits when their new site launches.

If you sign up today for our free newsletter, you will receive a portion of our monthly profits from the new service EVERY MONTH once it launches. Of course, you will only receive a portion of profits if the new service is successful and actually delivers a profit, but we think it will be.

I said, what the heck, I’ll sign up. Not going to hurt! I’m sure they’ll get thousands of people to sign up and I’m sure the percentage of the profits is going to be low. I expect to earn about $0.01 – $0.05 a month when it launches!!!

But… Isn’t this a great example of good viral marketing.
