A Special Thanks to my Friends!

In this cut-throat dog-eat-dog world of Internet Marketing, I am very fortunate to have such good friends online.
Yesterday I found out that I had to come up with over $600 to avoid disconnection of my Electricity. I attempted to work out a solution with my power company, but they weren’t willing to accept anything less than the $600.
With no where to turn, no money to borrow, and no way to get this money quickly, I turned to my friends online. With their help, I was able to gather my collection of markets and phrases, sort through available bonuses, and create a product to sell.
Through their efforts, support, guidance, and money (thanks for buying), I was able to not only pay that $600, but also bring the rest of my bills up to date.
My vacation starts on Saturday and it’s just a great feeling to not have that constant worry that someone will show up to turn something off.
With all my heart I am forever grateful to have such wonderful friends by my side. I’m still in shock to see that everyone chipped in and helped me in my time of need.
I just wanted to say thank you to Nez, Caro, Phill, Ed (NextInstinct), Lisa, Bill, Brent, Asbjorn, TechDogg, and especially Barb. It was Barb who used facebook to let the others know I needed help. Thanks Barb!
I also wanted to give a special thanks to Dan Raine. Dan went above and beyond the call of duty and for that I now put him in God status.. My wife has already planned on turning our dining room into a Dan Raine shrine.
Another special thanks goes out to Nathan for helping me get the product ready, suggestions, and helping me with the forum post copy. Without Nathan, I probably wouldn’t have finished getting everything ready.
I would also like to thank Joel Comm for purchasing a copy of my product and using his creditability to help me by posting his recommendation on my forum post as well as twittering it.
And finally, I want to thank each and every person who knew me or not, but purchased the product anyways. I hope you get great value out of the product and I really appreciate it!
Now I’m ready to relax and go to bed early.. I was up until 5:00am and had to get up again at 6:00am to go to work. I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep.
Best wishes to you all.
Sincerely,
Shannon
p.s. If I missed anyone above, I am very sorry. I did my best to make sure I included everyone.

This is wonderful news Shannon and I was so p*ssed off that DNS issues meant I could not reach out for you.
I wanted to talk to you about a deal anyway
WOW – your post bought tears to my eyes – of joy – it is a beautiful world filled with amazing people in it
Shannon – it is an honour to help someone like you – as you have a very kind & giving presence in our community and never look to take.
You show up as devoid of ego or jostling for recognition.
I see you already as a success – as you having a loving family that you created – a wife who you love, and together you created your children. Never forget what an achievement that is!
And I also know you will achieve what you desire to in IM – without a doubt – I hope you know that too!
Caro xx
Yay, Shannon!
So glad we were able to help you and your family during a tough time.
As I posted on @PhillMason’s blog, it’s amazing to have such a wonderful online community of great people from all over the world step up and help a friend whom they’ve never met in person.
Kudos to you, too, for coming up with such a creative idea to raise the cash and to make it happen so quickly!
You put out a lot of good Karma to our IM community and it came back to you in spades today.
Looking forward to having you on my team for the 30DC
Smiles,
Barb
oops hit return too quickly…
I wanted to talk to you about a deal anyway, rather than just buy your product.
I’ll have a chat later on
Good stuff!!
I totally salute your efforts. You came out with a value packed product in no time. You used you creativity and your IM knowledge to let the world know about it. It’s heart warming to see so much great souls work together… what a community we have here!
I also want to tip my hat to Barb. She did wonders on FB and twitter.
Glad all is well. Great things happening to a great guy. Speak soon.
Henri
That’s great news! Glad you are all up to date with bills and can enjoy some time with your family.
I think this reaction by your online friends (and folks who don’t even know you) is proof of a number of things:
1. You’re a great guy who gives so much to the IM communities you are a part of that you have made a lot of friends and, as Barb pointed out, created a lot of good karma.
2. You work hard and you give value in everything you do. You didn’t come asking for handouts. You created an incredibly valuable product that many people could see would save them time and money.
I hope one day to visit the Dan Raine shrine
Enjoy your holiday,
Lisa
Great news Shannon, it’s brilliant to see your mates pull together and make it happen for you. I know we could all find ourselves in exactly the same situation at anytime, so it’s comforting to know where your friends are – great post
All the Best

Life’s short. Give.
Sow not to reap,
but for that moment when
the other reaps what you’ve sown.
It is in that moment,
when we feel increase,
that we know we are a living part of something greater.
I receive blessings, therefore I am.
I give, therefore you receive.
Good Health to You,
Ed
Shannon, I do not even know you. I follow you on twitter and I was curious as to the title of your post – Deciding the faith of my blog.
I came to the post and read it. You must be a really great guy if people will step in and help you like this. I love it! What an inspiring story.
I wish you the very, very best. I love how you are embracing technology and I feel you stretching and growing. It has a good feel to it.
