Another Affiliate Summit Post…

Affiliate Summit LogoI wish everyone a good time at the Affiliate Summit. I sure wish I could have gone. These gatherings are a great place to learn new things and meet new people.

For those of you starting off in affiliate marketing and lucky enough to be there, I highly suggest that you make the effort to network as much as possible. Some of the best partnerships in history were formed by networking at these type of events.

Don’t just go to listen to the speakers and then go home. Take the time to seek out and meet other like-minded people and MOST IMPORTANTLY follow up with people you meet. Get their names, phone numbers, email, whatever that will allow you to stay in contact with them in the future. Build friendships because these will be one of the most important assets of your business as you grow.

The gurus frequently talk about leveraging your assets. The people you know is a very important asset to leverage. Keep that in mind and enjoy yourself!

I am up in my hotel room right now after the last day of affiliate summit. My knees and feet are killing me from the amount of walking and standing I did. But I’d do it all over again! I met some amazing people. The day networking was nice, but where you really establish long term relationships is after hours. I went out, ate dinner, had a drink and just chatted about life in general. I received invaluable advice. And this is advice that will not only change my business, but my life and the lives of my daughter and wife.

I have some very simple words for affiliate summit. Go! Get there. Now. Don’t think about it - find a way to pay for the next one ASAP. I swear that you will not regret it.
