Besides the fact that you can’t beat Ed’s smooth ability to talk on camera while mastering CamTwist and Screenflow last night’s Thirty Day Challenge live was another success.

It was a success for various reasons. As usual Ed, Dan, and the TDC crew gave great information and the question and answer period was awesome.

But the biggest success that happens here, is the networking. I love being able to interact with other challengers as well as being able to have a direct conversation with the TDC crew. Meeting new people, making new friends (hi Barb) are worth more than the golden keywords that Dan sometimes drip into the chat during the aftershow (which are priceless in themselves).

Check it out: Vote to see more of Dan Raine in his Pink Thong

This is very easy to setup and the data is automatically added to the spreadsheet!!! How awesome is that.

To setup…

____________________________________________

The first thing you need to do is create a Google Spreadsheet.

Go to Google Docs, clickNew, then Spreadsheet.

____________________________________________

Once you have a blank spreadsheet up, click Share on the right hand side.

____________________________________________

Under the Share this document section there’s a new option labeled as “to fill out a form”.

____________________________________________

Now your ready to edit the form. Click Start editing your form…

____________________________________________

click for larger image.

Now you’re ready to modify your form. Just like any other form you have the option to add text fields, paragraph fields, multiple choice, checkboxes, or choose from a list.

____________________________________________

click for larger image.

This is my example that I created within a couple minutes.

____________________________________________

click for larger image.

Now you’re done! The form is automatically linked to the spreadsheet that you created earlier. You can start inviting people to fill out the form or post the link directly to the form itself. Here’s the link to my example.

___________________________________________

Once people start filling out the form, the information is automatically populated in the spreadsheet. You can then begin to work with this data.

____________________________________________

Pretty cool isn’t it?

~Shannon

Hey folks!

Remember back in August I said that I was taking part in this year’s Thirty Day Challenge hosted by Ed Dale and Dan Raine?

Well I didn’t win by earning $10 during the month of August, but I learned some amazing things. In fact, I’ve been implementing these techniques and strategies on a daily basis since.

I’m proud to say that it’s starting to pay off as I’ve received a sale! Sure it was only one sale and sure it was only $13.35 commission, but that’s fine with me. You can’t walk a mile without taking your first step. You can’t make your million without making your first dollar either.

Although I currently average about $30 a month from my online activities, I’m proud of my $13.35!!!

If you’re interested in making money online and want to earn your first $10, check out the Thirty Day Challenge. You can also download all training material on the torrent network.

A word of advice, don’t just download the torrents. Take part in the challenge and use all resources available. You won’t be sorry!

Here are my recommended resources:

Thirty Day Challenge Site – Official site of the Thirty Day Challenge. Don’t forget to read over the blog posts during the pre-season to make sure you’re ready.

Thirty Day Challenge Training via Torrent – I repackaged and uploaded the training, but it’s no substitute for the original. Useful for those who have slow/poor internet connections.

Mike Mindel’s Blog – Training Notes. Mike’s notes are just too awesome for words.

Ed Dale’s Twitter – Keep up on what Ed is twittering about.

Dan Raine’s Twitter – Keep up on what Dan is twittering about.

There are other excellent resources, but these are the main ones.

Sorry guys. I know I said that I’ll post any awesome tips/tricks I learn along the way. I learned a lot from the Thirty Day Challenge, but I didn’t get a chance to post here.

I found that when I started the challenge I had to make a decision to put everything on hold. I just didn’t have the time after working all day and taking care of two kids (3 yo and 1 yo) to keep up with the training and keep my sites updated.

I had to prioritize and learning the Thirty Day Challenge was very important to me. I hope you guys understand.

If you’re curious about how well I did during the challenge… Well lets just say I won’t be buying a corvette any time soon.? But seriously, I didn’t care if I made any money or not during the challenge because it was the process I was interested in learning.

Except for a few bumps and a few area of improvement in how the training was delivered, I think the guys did an awesome job!? I enjoyed the entire challenge so much so that in fact I decided to only follow their teachings from now on.? Sure I’ll learn other things, but it will be these guys that I will continue to follow the most.

I look forward to when I can join the Immediate Edge.

Talk to ya later,

Hey guys (and gals),

I discovered a way to take the awesome technique that Ed uses with Google trends to quickly do a bulk check of all your keywords at once.

Imagine the time you’ll save by just having to copy and paste all your keywords once and have google check each one individually and give you the total traffic for each key phrase.

Yeah, that’s right… Just copy and paste your entire niche phrases and sit back. In a matter of seconds you’ll have your list of keywords as well as their traffic estimates compared to the umbrella phrase (male yeast infection).

Pretty awesome isn’t it? I thought so too.

Let me show you what I done…

First thing you need to do is log into your Google Adwords account. If you don’t have one, create it.

Once you are logged into your account, follow these steps.

Click on Tools

Then click on Traffic Estimator

Type in your umbrella phrase (male yeast infection)

Go to Wordtracker and copy all the keywords for your niche (or wherever you have them stored).

Paste them as shown. I just included the search phrases given by one particular results of Wordtracker. You can paste in all keywords you want to check.

For this example I didn’t change anything on this screen except to add “All Countries and Territories” to the Selected Countries and/or Territories section. Now click Continue.

Here are your results. Click on the Search Volume to sort.

Here’s the final results. Notice the umbrella phrase and the bar indicating its search volume. Now we know from Ed that the “male yeast infection” phrase has an approximate search volume of 550 searches (give or take).

So from this we can now judge the search volume of each of the other phrases in relation to the umbrella phrase.

So for example, the phrase “self catering ireland” get approximately the same search volume as “male yeast infection” and therefore gets about 550 searches a day as well.

Awesome isn’t it? If these numbers are accurate, this trick will cut hours of work down to a couple minutes.

I would love to hear Ed’s thoughts on this trick. What are your thoughts?
